Michael J. Quick
Michael J. Quick is an audio engineer and music technology educator based in Southern California.
Michael is a lifelong learner who is passionate about all aspects of music technology. He has a bachelor’s degree in Music and Sound Recording from University of New Haven, and a master’s degree in Game Audio from Leeds Beckett University. Michael worked in numerous recording studios in the greater New York metropolitan area before moving to the West Coast to pursue a career in academia. While on faculty at Idyllwild Arts Academy, he pioneered a music technology concentration where interested students could engage in a wide variety of material, including: recording technology, synthesis, electronic music performance, music production, and electronics. Michael is currently an adjunct professor of music technology at the University of New Haven.
With over fifteen years of expertise in music production, Michael is inspired by the possibilities that Bitwig Studio offers and is eager to share his knowledge with others. He is available for online private lessons, for those new to music production and industry veterans seeking fresh perspective.
