Watch Our Superbooth Demo on Live Sets in Bitwig Studio
At this year's edition of Berlin music tech trade show Superbooth, Bitwig's Fredrik Astevall (aka Krumelur aka cfl) hosted a lecture-concert about how he performs live using Bitwig Studio. If you couldn't make it to the FEZ IRL, fear not: You can now watch the video recording on Superbooth's YouTube channel.
Astevall gave a "speedrun" demo of his live sets, which involve using a launchpad-style controller and a modular rack to combine and effect clips and stems from various full tracks he made, followed by an explanation and then a Q&A. The talk covers how he organizes his projects and how he has started to implement new features coming in version 5, such as track remotes and release Next Actions.
While you're at it, click here to check out our Superbooth Gesprächskonzert from 2021, in which Bitwig's Dave Linnenbank showed off the potential for Operators to help you break out of short loops. And you can learn more about version 5's live performance-specific features here.
