Antisocial Audio: Expression Through Bass

Antisocial Audio is a London-based online music-tech school with a difference. Specializing in “expression through bass,” the school teaches the art of bass music production. Students join UK bass music pioneer Solomon Rose (aka Silkie) virtually in his studio, where they are coached toward music-production mastery at the side of a master. Antisocial Audio focuses on students’ individual needs and helps them achieve self-expression and creativity that transcends genres and trends. Students work at their own pace, and classes are personalized for learners at any level, from beginner to more advanced skills in music theory, sound design, arranging, mixing, and mastering. Bitwig Studio users will benefit from Silkie’s expertise as a Bitwig certified trainer—his deep knowledge and experience with Bitwig Studio support producers at all levels.

DJ and producer Silkie has been a music-making institution on the London scene since the early 2000s. An early force in UK garage and dubstep, he has enjoyed wide success in the global bass music scene. Silkie has worked with artists like Quest, Mala, Skream, Joker, and Jay 5ive. He has toured the world, from Europe to Japan, New Zealand and South America. He has released three albums on Deep Medi Musik and remixed tracks for artists such as Sean Paul, DJ Shadow, and Above & Beyond.

As a Bitwig certified trainer, Silkie is passionate about helping users explore the wide, creative world that Bitwig Studio opens up. In workshops and master classes around the world—with exciting projects like the Africa Rising Music Conference, IMSTA FESTA London, and music-festival events in Buenos Aires—Silkie has taught up-and-coming musicians and producers how to make the most of Bitwig Studio’s endless creative flexibility.
